How to call Bahamas
To call Bahamas from another country, dial your international access prefix, then 1 242, then the local number.
- From the United States or Canada: 011 1 242, then the local number.
- From most other countries: 00 1 242, then the local number (some countries use 0011, 010 or another carrier prefix — check your operator).
- From a mobile phone abroad: +1 242 works on almost every network.
Bahamas uses the North American Numbering Plan, so numbers are +1 + area code + 7 digits. Dialling is exactly the same as calling the US or Canada, and 10-digit dialling applies.
